 Agroindustrial Huaquen was founded in 1995, dedicated to the organic cultivation of avocado pears and citric fruits for export.
In 2002 and due to the company´s experience in this type of cultivation, its 5 shareholders began a new wide-range project: the plantation of olive trees, with the purpose of producing an organic olive oil of the highest quality at world level.
Initially, 100 hectares of 1.500 owned by the company were destined to the project. Its success made the company expand to, currently 310 hectares of the best olive varieties.
The concern to supply a premium product and the recognition in different international exhibitions, where our olive oil has been rewarded in serval occasions, made the company take another step and begin the elaboration of organic avocado oil, for which it already had 500 hectares of Hass avocado variety.
In 2006 the first cycle of the company is fulfilled with the construction and startup of its own production plant, with a capacity production of 80 tons per day, both in olive oil and avocado oil. |
